Nodaleto

Nodaleto was founded in 2018 in Paris by Belgian-Italian designer Olivia Oblanc as a contemporary luxury footwear brand specifically focused on what Oblanc described as 'a deliberately-architectural-and-feminine contemporary-luxury footwear vocabulary anchored to Italian-craft construction and deliberately-sculptural proportional play.' The brand has been one of the defining post-2018 Paris-anchored contemporary-luxury-footwear brands. The Nodaleto vocabulary settled around several specific products: the iconic Bulla Babies platform-Mary-Jane (the brand's defining product since 2018 — a deliberately-architectural square-toed Mary-Jane with the iconic curved-block-heel construction that became one of the most-collected post-2019 contemporary-women's-footwear products), the Nodaleto Bulla Salomé (a slip-on variant), the Nodaleto Bulla Cocktail (a Mary-Jane variant), various deliberately-architectural mary-jane and platform-Mary-Jane variations, and a colour palette anchored to washed-cream, oxblood, washed-charcoal, ecru, natural-tan, plus the brand's recurring use of saturated red, royal-blue, and the iconic contemporary-architectural-aesthetic accent combinations. Production is entirely Italian at small leather workshops in the Marche region. The brand is independent and held by Oblanc plus institutional luxury-investors. Nodaleto operates with no permanent retail of its own, distributing through SSENSE, MATCHES, Net-a-Porter, Mytheresa, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, the Webster, Lane Crawford, Boontheshop, and a curated set of contemporary-luxury-footwear specialty retailers globally. The brand has been one of the most quietly successful post-2018 Paris-anchored 'architectural-feminine-luxury-footwear' brands, with the deliberately-platform-Mary-Jane positioning specifically anchoring the brand inside the contemporary 'architectural-footwear-luxury' conversation that has been continuously rewritten since 2020.
