Designer-curator Stefania Manfreda opened Elle Lokko in 2015 as a women's concept store of a kind Accra had never had: a single address where you could find Osei Duro's hand-dyed pieces next to AAKS raffia bags, Christie Brown's tailored evening looks next to Sun Trade Beads jewellery. A decade in, it is now treated as a cultural anchor of the Osu neighbourhood, hosting trunk shows, designer talks and a steady rotation of new West African labels. It is one of the boutiques that the recent generation of Ghanaian designers credit with giving them their first physical retail home.
