Temple Muse

Temple Muse predates the Lagos luxury wave: when it opened on Akin Adesola Street it was selling Balmain and Givenchy at a time when most international fashion still reached Nigeria via suitcases from London. The space has always blurred categories - sculptural homeware, contemporary African art, designer womenswear and a quarterly art-exhibition programme inside the store itself. Lisa Folawiyo's early collections were stocked here before she had a stand-alone account, and the store remains a regular first stop for Nigerian creatives building wardrobes that have to translate between Lagos and the rest of the world.
