Okhtein
Sisters Aya and Mounaz Abdelraouf named their Cairo handbag house Okhtein — Arabic for 'two sisters'. Brass-work hardware shaped like crossed arrowheads, hand-embroidered Mamluk motifs and saddle leather have made the bags collector pieces; Beyoncé, Queen Rania, Gigi Hadid and Emma Watson have all carried them. The brand now stocks at Harrods and Selfridges and runs flagship stores at Dubai City Walk, Riyadh's Kingdom Mall and inside Cairo's Grand Egyptian Museum.
