Founded in Warsaw in 2002 by graffiti writer and rap entrepreneur Adam 'Likwid' Piechocki, Prosto is the cornerstone of Polish hip-hop streetwear. The name means 'straight' or 'simple' in Polish and the brand built itself in lockstep with the country's emerging rap scene—dressing Peja, O.S.T.R. and a generation of post-1989 youth who needed local heroes instead of imported Karl Kani. More than twenty years on, Prosto runs its own shops in Warsaw, Krakow and Poznan, and remains the most-worn label in Polish hip-hop videos.
