Vakkorama

Vakko launched its eight-storey İstiklal Caddesi flagship in 1962 as Turkey's first modern department store; in 1982 it added Vakkorama, one of the country's first dedicated youth-fashion stores, in Taksim. Today Vakkorama operates a network of multi-brand stores across Istanbul including the Akmerkez flagship in Etiler, carrying an Axel Arigato, Acne Studios, Manu Atelier, Hartford, Joe's Jeans and Sister Jane edit. It sits beneath the wider Vakko Group umbrella alongside V2K Designers, Vakko Couture and Vakko Wedding, and remains the access point through which much of Turkey's middle-luxury consumer base discovered contemporary international labels.
