Johanna Ortiz
Cali-born designer Johanna Ortiz founded her label in 2003 as a small resort and swimwear collection inspired by the natural beauty of her Colombian homeland and her belief in women's collective power. Today the global luxury house spans ready-to-wear, resort, accessories and home, with 90% of pieces ethically made in its Cali atelier by a team of more than 450, 78% of them women. The label's Escuela Johanna Ortiz trains seamstresses from vulnerable communities, and the brand's signature romantic, off-shoulder silhouettes are stocked worldwide from Bergdorf Goodman to Le Bon Marché.
