Maydi was founded in 2014 in Buenos Aires by María Abdala Zolezzi after twelve years in Paris working for Sonia Rykiel, Isabel Marant and Nick Hart. The bespoke knitwear label uses only natural Argentine fibres — organic merino wool, llama and baby alpaca — sourced through Wildlife Friendly–certified Patagonian ranches and hand-knitted or hand-woven by artisans using ancestral techniques. Maydi's undyed and naturally dyed sweaters, ponchos and home textiles are stocked at MatchesFashion, MyTheresa and select international boutiques, making it one of Latin America's defining sustainable-luxury houses.
