PatBO was founded in 2002 in the inland city of Uberlândia by self-taught designer Patrícia Bonaldi, who learned to sew as a child when buying new clothes wasn't an option. The brand fuses Brazilian artisanal embroidery and beading with sharply tailored ready-to-wear and resort, employing hundreds of in-house artisans. PatBO launched in the U.S. in 2017, opened its New York flagship in 2021 and debuted on the NYFW runway the same season; it is now stocked at Saks, Bergdorf Goodman, Harrods, Neiman Marcus and Net-a-Porter, anchoring an internationally beloved contemporary brand.
