AKJP Studio

Designer Keith Henning and artist Jody Paulsen opened AKJP Studio in 2014 as a physical home for their own utilitarian-leaning label, then expanded it into a curated platform for the Cape Town scene around them. The white-walled Gardens space functions like a rotating editorial: ceramics next to magazines next to small-run jewellery next to runway looks pulled straight from Cape Town Fashion Week. It is the closest thing the city has to a designer salon, and its tightly edited South African roster - including pieces from Thebe Magugu, Rich Mnisi, and Lukhanyo Mdingi - has made it a regular stop for visiting press and buyers.
